Wat is mousserende wijn?

Champagne wordt ook wel "wijn met een bubbeltje" of "bubbeltjeswijn" genoemd. Een mousserende wijn is een rosé, rode of witte wijn waarin koolzuurgas zit. Over het algemeen zijn het overigens witte wijn die mousserend zijn. Smaak aanduidingen van een mousserende wijn gaan van zoet tot droog.

Franse mousserende wijn

Misschien wel de bekendste mousserende wijn is Champagne. En champagne mag alleen maar champagne heten als de druif uit de champagne streek in Frankrijk komt. 

Mousserende wijn uit andere landen

Naast Frankrijk zijn er ook andere landen die een mousserende wijn produceren. Deze mogen dan geen champagne heten, maar zijn er zeker niet minder lekker door.
